I charge £45 per hour for 3D design work.
I can provide an estimate at the start of a job, based on the length of time I think I’ll need to accomplish everything you’ve told me in the design brief. -
I'll draft out a design from your brief, then produce full colour visuals and a plan, showing the design from all angles.
From there you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback so I can refine and finalise the design.
Once you're happy, I'll prepare the technical drawings needed for accurate costings and manufacture.
If you're an exhibitor, I can introduce you to my trusted build teams, or I'm equally happy to work with your preferred contractor. If you're a builder or design agency, I'll work directly with your team. Either way, everyone is kept in the loop and the process is completely transparent.
Once everything has been signed off, I can also design all of the stand graphics, ready for print and installation.

As long as we can chat about your objectives, your exhibition space and your budget, then we can put together a design brief together, before I start designing.
I've also created a simple exhibition design briefing template that you can download here. It's a useful starting point and will make sure we don't miss anything important. -
I’ll advise on turnaround times on a brief by brief basis.
I try to get initial designs and visuals done within ten days of starting any job. Sometimes it’s quicker, but please be aware it can sometimes take longer, depending on the size of the stand, and my workload at the time. -
I use Cinema 4D with Redshift for all my visuals, and Vectorworks for technical drawings.

Yes, I have a design agreement that covers a few important points to keep things clear and straightforward. I ask all new clients to sign this before I start any work. The agreement includes:
What both parties agree to do.
The design process, including how changes and revisions are handled.
Payment terms.
How I handle copyright and sharing work in my portfolio.
You can read and sign the full agreement here.

My surname is Shipham – but almost everyone writes or says “Shipman.” Not ideal when you want people to find you online and hire you as a designer!
I’ve spent years saying “It’s HAM, not MAN.”
Ham, of course, comes from pigs. So I swapped ham for pigs, and Ships and Pigs was born.
